Keeping Perspective

When we are heart to heart;
we are, some might say - half way there.

When we embrace that which is life-enhancing
and let go of that which is life-defeating;
we are, some might say - half way there.

When we have become more than
what we thought we could be;
we are, some might say - half way there.

When we align ourselves in right association
and disassociate from wrong association;
we are, some might say - half way there.

When we have come to know
our moral and spiritual nature;
we are, some might say - half way there.

Some might say - the other half...
is always yet to be revealed.
But this much I do know;
incomprehensible as it may seem,
the best for me was always yet to come.
