Blue Butterfly

Asking Me

Asking me not to love you...
Would be like asking the rivers not to flow.

Asking me not to love you...
Would be like asking the world not to turn.

Asking me not to love you...
Would be like asking the stars not to shine.

And if you were to ask me...
This would be my reply:

Even if the rivers... were to stop flowing,
And the world... were to stop turning,
And the stars... were to stop shining,
I would still continue to love you.

For true love... I have come to learn
Is never-ending.

If you were to ask me... to set you free.

I would become the air under your wings.
For that is how much you mean - to me.
